Life Stressors

Life can be challenging for all of us at different times throughout our life.  Stress can be derived from our careers, children, a significant other, or a combination of many things.  Stress not dealt with appropriately can lead to serious medical problems including cardiac problems, hypertension, digestion problems, as well as an increase in the seriousness of other pre-existing health conditions.

Learning how to manage stress and take care of ourselves is one of the most important lessons we need to learn in order to reach our full potential both professionally and personally.  Stress management skills may include relaxation techniques, mindfulness, or recalibrating our priorities and values.

Signs and symptoms of stress may include changes in sleeping patterns (either sleeping more than usual or having difficulty falling or staying asleep), changes in weight / appetite, feelings of irritability, sadness, or anxiety, or gastrointestinal distress.

Don't let stress negatively impact your life!  You have the ability to lean new skills that can significantly improve your life, your career, and your relationships.
