Using your Insurance to Pay for Services

Dr. McFarland can bill your insurance company.  If you would like to use your insurance benefits, please contact your insurance company to determine if you have any "out- of - network".  If you do, you are welcome to bill your insurance company for sessions.  However, most insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to reimburse services.  Depending on the insurance company, only specific diagnosis may be covered and once an insurance company has your diagnosis it may be kept on your permanent record and be considered a "pre-existing" condition.  In order for your diagnosis, treatment, and personal health information to remain completely confidential and private, Dr. McFarland does not recommend billing insurance companies for services rendered.
